1. What TheBestIn.city is

TheBestIn.city is a city-wise leaderboard where businesses, creators, and social handles can list themselves and bid to hold the top ranking positions in their city and category. Ranking position is determined purely by bid amount within each city/category — it is a paid visibility placement, not an editorial endorsement, rating, or review of quality.

2. Free listings

Newly added cities may offer a limited number of free listing slots, at a quota set by us and shown on the city page. Free slots are first-come, first-served and may be withdrawn or changed at any time, including for cities that already have free listings. Once a city's free quota is used, further listings require a paid bid.

3. Bidding and ranking

• Rank within a city/category is determined by bid amount, highest first.
• To outrank an existing listing, your bid must exceed the amount required to hold that position, as shown on the Site at the time you bid.
• Rankings can change at any time as other users place new or higher bids — a paid position is not permanent or guaranteed to stay at the top.
• All bid amounts are shown in the currency applicable to your location and are non-negotiable.
• Bids are processed via Razorpay. Your rank is confirmed only after payment is successfully verified.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are handled by Razorpay, a third-party payment processor. We don't store your card, UPI, or bank details. Because a bid purchases a specific ranking position at the time of payment, completed and confirmed payments are non-refundable, except where required by law or where a payment was taken in error (e.g. a duplicate charge, or a listing that was never activated due to a technical fault on our end). To request a refund under those circumstances, contact us at the email below.

5. Listing content and your responsibilities

• You must only submit a link, name, or handle that you own or are authorized to represent.
• Listing titles and icons are fetched automatically from the public page of the link you submit — you're responsible for that page's content being accurate and appropriate.
• You may not submit listings that are illegal, fraudulent, impersonate another person or business, or link to malware, phishing, or adult content.
• We may remove any listing, at any time, that violates these terms, without refunding any associated bid.

6. No affiliation with third-party platforms

TheBestIn.city is an independent, unofficial directory. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or any other platform whose handles or pages may appear in listings, nor by the businesses or individuals listed unless they submitted the listing themselves.

7. Claim or removal requests

If a listing represents your business, handle, or page and you did not submit it, or you believe a listing about you is inaccurate or should be removed, contact us at the email below with a link to the listing and a description of your request. We'll review and respond as promptly as we can.

8. Site statistics

Visit counts, view counts, and click counts shown on the Site are aggregate figures generated automatically from real traffic. We take reasonable steps to keep them accurate but don't guarantee they are free of automated or bot traffic.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, that rankings will drive any particular result, or the accuracy of information fetched from third-party links. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, financial, or business advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheBestIn.city and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including loss of business or visibility resulting from ranking changes.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
